asyst:Accountant’s General Ledger is a tool that asyst:General Ledger clients can use to streamline the process of sending and receiving financial information to and from their external accountant or auditor. This module is provided free of charge and will allow you to send a zipped copy of your entire asyst:GLdatabase to an outside accountant and the accountant’s adjusting journal entries to be imported back to your database without any manual entries. You can continue to process transactions just as you do now. Only adjusting entries from your accountant, and no other changes to the database, are imported, so you can continue to process as normal.
asyst:Accountant’s General Ledger has the following features:
· Allows an asyst Customer to create a zipped copy of its General Ledger data and send it to their external accountant.
· Customer can continue processing transactions after the copy of General Ledger has been sent.
· Accountant has all of the asyst:General Ledger reporting and inquiry features.
· Accountant can make adjusting journal entries which are identified uniquely in asyst:GL.
· Adjusting journal entries created by the accountant are returned as a CSV file to the asyst customer and are imported using a Periodic tab option called “Import Accountant's Adjusting Entries.”
· A license for the asyst:Accountants’s General Ledger is provided Free to the accountant. Support Fees, paid by the customer, are $120 annually. The customer’s accountant is free to use the HELPLINE, will receive all updates to asyst:Accountant’s General Ledger, and can take any of the free training classes available for asyst:GL.
